As a public interest non-profit organization (Association Loi 1901), our success is evaluated not by financial dividends, but by biological indicators, regenerated hectares, and civic empowerment across rural Occitanie.
1. Botanical Recovery & Species Diversity Indicators
Since 2023, our Scientific Advisory Committee has maintained 24 permanent standardized observation transects across the Volp catchment and Séronais bocage zones. Each quarter, botanical teams record species richness, seedling survival rates, and vegetative ground cover.
Our audited findings indicate an 84% five-year survival rate for indigenous woody species planted by our volunteer crews. This exceptional resilience results directly from our rigorous bio-climatic seed sourcing protocol, which exclusively gathers wild germplasm from mother trees adapted to local acidic Pyrenean soils and irregular Mediterranean rainfall patterns.

Documented resurgence of Orchis mascula and Anacamptis pyramidalis in unplowed meadow verges under conservation covenants.

2. Hydrological Stabilization & Soil Organic Carbon
Soil degradation poses an existential threat to regional rural agriculture and water security. Compacted soils cannot absorb intense autumn precipitation, resulting in catastrophic topsoil erosion, choked stream beds, and severe summer ground-water depletion.
Across our 48+ hectares of actively managed land, soil organic matter (SOM) has risen by an average of 1.4% over three years of intensive cover cropping, deep-rooting native shrub planting, and total exclusion of synthetic biocides. Every 1% increase in soil organic carbon allows the soil to retain an estimated 140,000 additional liters of water per hectare, providing an indispensable hydrological sponge during severe summer drought emergencies.
3. Cultural Inclusion & Community Social Cohesion
In addition to ecological metrics, we rigorously audit the social reach of our multidisciplinary arts wing. Rural depopulation and the decline of public gathering places have weakened community ties across many mountain villages. Our traveling theater productions, interactive puppetry workshops, and civic storytelling circles provide vital communal spaces where citizens rebuild trust and shared purpose.
